JULIE DONALDSON

ABOUT JULIE

Julie has been a pioneering figure in sports broadcasting, breaking gender barriers in a field traditionally dominated by men. She has not only made remarkable strides in her career but has also been a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in the industry. With over two decades of experience as a sports journalist, Julie has worked in several top U.S. markets including Miami, New York City, Boston, and Washington DC, covering major events including four Olympic Games.

Julie is currently an anchor/reporter for WTTG FOX5 DC. She recently served as SVP of Broadcast for the Washington Commanders as the first hire of change during a most tumultuous time for the franchise. She was pivotal in helping change the culture of not only her department but the organization as a whole. On top of her leadership duties, for four seasons she was a permanent member of the game day radio broadcast, making her the first female to be a regular on-air member of an NFL radio broadcast booth. This achievement led Sports Illustrated to name her one of the top 50 Most Powerful Women in Sports that year.
